I’m overwhelmed by all the support on Twitter following my access refusal at @marksandspencer yesterday. Access refusals affect confidence which in turn affects independent living - stores need to take responsibility for upholding the Equality Act.

And this is why people don’t speak up about access refusals. They happen more than you would believe & have a detrimental impact on a visually impaired person’s self confidence & thus willingness to go out & live an independent life. It is unnecessarily embarrassing, full stop.
