The #Steelers and TE Darnell Washington have agreed to terms on a four-year, $42 million extension, keeping him with the team through 2030.
Washington, 24, had one year remaining on his previous contract, making the new deal worth $45.67 million over five years. The deal includes $21 million guaranteed.
Washington stepped into a bigger role in the offense last season, becoming one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL and finishing the year with career-highs in receptions (31) and yards (364). He also caught one TD last season.
The #Steelers and OLB Nick Herbig have agreed to terms on a four-year, $100 million extension, keeping him with the team through 2030.
Herbig, 24, had one year remaining on his previous contract, making the new deal worth $103.67 million over five years. The deal includes $42 million guaranteed. Pittsburgh now has its top-three pass rushers under contract for at least the next two seasons.
Herbig posted 30 total tackles, 13 for a loss, 7.5 sacks, 3 FF, 1 FR, 1 INT and 1 TD last season.

The Pittsburgh #Steelers have signed S Makari Paige to a one-year deal.
Paige, 24, signed with the #Giants as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, former Michigan product also spent time on New York's practice squad last season.
SCHEDULE LEAK: The #Steelers will travel to Paris, France to play the #Saints in Week 7 this upcoming season as part of the NFL's International Series.
The first-ever regular-season NFL game played in France will take place on Oct. 25, 2026 at the Stade de France, the largest sporting arena in France. The game will kickoff at 9:30 a.m. EST.
This will be Pittsburgh's third regular-season international game in the team's history. The Steelers previously played in London, England in 2013 and in Dublin, Ireland last season.

The #Steelers are waiving fourth-year CB Cory Trice Jr. with a failed physical designation after an injury-riddled tenure in Pittsburgh.
Trice, 25, was selected in the seventh-round of the 2023 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Trice was placed on IR after suffering a season-ending ACL tear during training camp.
He battled back to play in six games in 2024; however, he dealt with a persistent hamstring injury that hampered him throughout the year.
Last season, Trice was placed on IR in August after suffering another hamstring injury. He failed to return within the 21-day practice window and later dealt with a knee injury, keeping him out for all of 2025.
The Steelers have the toughest schedule in the AFC North for 2026 based on strength of schedule. Pittsburgh is set to take on six 2025 playoff teams this season.
