Andy Burnham just admitted it.

There it is. A clear admission they’re not up to the job of stopping the illegal invasion of this country.

That’s the Prime Minister telling the country he cannot, and will not commit to, stopping the small boat crossings.

He says “we don’t want to see any crossings.” Fine. That’s the easy line.

Then he gives the game away:

“I’m not going to give you a date by which we can do that or a promise that we will do it in terms of a particular deadline.”

No target. No timeline. No urgency. No plan that actually ends it.

Lip service first, then surrender. That’s the message sent to the country and to anyone still considering the crossing.

At least he’s honest about it.
