We’re obsessed with the idea that poor people might take more than they need, but we rarely question why some wealthy people are never satisfied with what they already have.
…and then has to be admitted and STILL faces an insane deductible and financial ruin…because they got sick.
Folks will do anything not to admit that Medicare for All would be the single most transformational policy to ease financial anxiety and improve health in America.
Most interesting thing here is that the Israeli Foreign Ministry now acknowledges the Nakba happened. They just think it was justified. A shift from the long history of Nakba denial that said Arabs fled of their own volition because their leaders told them to.
1/ This announcement marks the Carney government’s official surrender to the oil and gas lobby.
By gutting carbon pricing to the point of irrelevance, it has dismantled the last federal climate measure standing. We now have a federal government that no longer even pretends to rein in big corporate polluters.

Israel returned to burning families alive in Gaza as they slept overnight.
“Three women with severed arms and two men struck in the head and legs, all were severed.”
Those were the words from a witness at scene of the Israeli massacre at Burj al-Moataz, a five-story residential building sheltering displaced families in Gaza City’s al-Rimal neighborhood. Israeli airstrikes targeted residential apartments in the building, igniting a massive fire and trapping families, including many women and children, inside.
The strikes killed 8 people, and wounded more than 45 others.
⭕️ Israeli Commission Reviewed 1,800 Hours of Footage for October 7 Rape Report — Never Claimed Any of It Showed a Rape, Electronic Intifada Notes
🔸The new 300-page report on alleged October 7 sexual violence, promoted by CNN and the BBC as a landmark document, analyzed more than 10,000 photographs and video segments totaling over 1,800 hours, “never says that any of those materials depict an actual rape or gang rape in progress,” according to The Electronic Intifada.
The finding is consistent with the UN’s own March 2024 review, which found “no tangible indications of rape” in thousands of photos and videos provided by the Israeli government, EI notes.
🔸 EI also flags that among the listed “valued partners” of the Civil Commission — the Israeli-founded body that produced the report — are Microsoft and the government of Canada.

@party_animals I love seeing sunk-cost fallacies play out in real-time lmao.
I hope you spent ungodly amount of money to produce this slop, you ain't getting the ROI you're hoping for.
If you were foolish enough to green-light this, you deserve all the acrimony.
Fuck AI.
@party_animals Just a hunch here. But you know how all the artists and creative on your team no doubt told you this was a terrible idea. It is. Fire the dumb ass that pushed for this. He might've tanked this games reputation. Also fuck you.
@9mmScorpion@NYPostOpinion so fun fact, after world war 2, julius streicher (the owner-editor of der sturmer) literally got hanged at nuremberg for publishing shit like this. Perhaps the Post should take that context under consideration!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there, and especially to my brilliant life partner, Sarah.
