Finally as a publicised ‘England Atheltics’ run coach & ‘@tracksmith run leader, I’m sure one of the @england athletics codes of conduct is not to encourage unfair advantage or competition! Sad, if this is the case!
World record-holding running magazine boss is accused of posting fake times for the London Marathon: Oxford-educated Kate Carter 'may have used software to manually create results' with 'no evidence' to show she ran the entire race, it's claimed https://t.co/pjvmnbDpCg
1) Taking off a race chip bib to not ‘overcook’ pacing makes no sense as shared with a friend via SM?
2) It’s unfair for competitors around you to remove/ edit your bib
3) It’s really unsafe for race organisers such as @LondonMarathon@LLHalf to know who’s on the course, when!
📣 The election process for 7 members to join the UK Athletics Athletes’ Commission is now open & self-nominations are welcomed prior to the deadline on Friday 9 February 2024.

DCMS Call for evidence has been extended to Oct 31st! Not a long survey but start to recognise the patterns and trends within sports which need to addressed. Worth responding prior to *hopefully* a consultation/ review.
Without athletes and journalists highlighting issues in elite sport, it would all be ignored in favour of medals, money and fame.
Sport and those who run it, cannot regulate their behaviours and can no longer be expected to.
The status quo does nothing to advance performance
@TMayglothling I have been directly in the firing line for raising issues. Im not there to preserve any position but do what’s right for our current and future of the sport in of course a respectful manner. Appreciate your support! Open for a chat!
Pleased I responded to the DCMS Call forEvidence on misconduct, harassment, bullying, & discrimination @BritAthletics! Medals mask systemic cultural issues which have never been tackled! No hand to play in any departure but a review should be conducted on itsorganisational health
At the 1928 Olympics, women ran the 800m for the 1st time.
After the race, reporters wrote stories of women collapsing in utter exhaustion with half the field dropping out
None of that occurred
The 800 was eliminated for 32 years. Stories are powerful.

@BritAthletics@wabudapest23 Nice to see the throwers added … still disappointing not to see another heptathlete plus a few others
ALSO : Would have loved to have seen a female coach in the coaching team 🤷🏻♀️
@DaiGreene I’m sorry you experienced this. I have also previously presented on the WIT2W data to the staff.I’ve been made to feel very uncomfortable from a very recent experience despite sharing current and previous concerns with the NGB.Instead, deflection against you personally is used.
