@BrothersaToshiC Jamaica will not adopt bitcoin because itโs too volatile and is backed by nothing, atleast the US dollar is backed by the US government. What does Jamaica need bitcoin to do that it canโt do now?
@HenryPueblo@sndra_l What Iโm really trying to say is this, Haiti has to figure out Haiti, but I think Jamaica is doing a lot of things correct, are we poor yes, but I think everything takes time. Haitians have to figure out there stuff, but I think Jamaicans should continue along the path their on.
@HenryPueblo@sndra_l Most people are quick to lambast tourism in Jamaica, yet donโt show the alternative to bring in an extra 2 billion dollars to the economy. A lot of Jamaican owners u operate Airbnb make money from these people so though beach access issues Iโm not to quick to fight against it.
@HenryPueblo@sndra_l I donโt think Haiti should follow Jamaica at all, it should create its own path, but I donโt think Jamaica is necessarily doing anything wrong. 2 billion dollars is collected annually from tourist, I donโt think we should be quick to let that cash go.
@HenryPueblo@sndra_l Poor Jamaican will get a benefit so your correct the majority will still remain poor, but there are Jamaican (mainly land owning Jamaicans who benefit from these resorts), those who sell the land and those who get the contracts to supply the resorts.
@HenryPueblo@sndra_l Gain wealth. The only Jamaicans that complain about the beaches privatized are the ones not benefitting, if u check most of the land adjoining the beaches are owned by companies like sygnus air barita investment, run by black Jamaicans. However this doesnโt mean that the average

@travismacmillan@peterissaja I mean the Jamaican government can take the land that you live on now using the Land Appropriation Act. Actually the land that you are on now, technically the government owns all land.

@waice6571@NigeriaStories 99% of Commodities donโt move by planes they move by ships. So there is no need for direct flights for commodity trading. Jamaica has direct flights with Peru, Panama, Germany, Canada and many airports in the USA. Sometimes it just helps people move and discover opportunities.
