@inLaurasWords One word: Perimenopause! But, more specifically, how little airtime it gets from media outlets and doctors in general, as compared to the hormonal upheaval of puberty. All women experience it, so why it there the social stigma surrounding it?
@Cmtedeschi Hi, I'm a freelance journalist writing an article for WebMD about extreme heat and the physical effect on the body, as experienced by contestants on shows like Survivor. Would you be available tomorrow for a brief conversation? Thanks!
@mvanrooyen_md I'm a freelance writer working on a piece about physical effects on the body from extreme heat in shows like “Survivor.” Would you be available to chat briefly about this? Thank you!
@amalt All too true. The worst part of all of that is doing all the pre-reporting, lining up sources, etc..only to have every publication turn you down, and chalking all that up to wasted effort. If you do end up getting the work, it can be months before payment comes in.
@ElyKreimendahl That reminds me of the time I shattered an entire jar of expensive pine nuts at the restaurant where I worked, generating a similar response from the owner. I ran into the bathroom hysterically crying. Quit the next day.
@msemilymccombs I thought they went out of business? Reminds me of the store Fashion Bug, which, in the COVID era, sounds like the last place I’d want to spend an hour or two browsing the racks.
@ConEdison Working around the clock you claim? There have been no crews anywhere in my area and we’ve had no power for almost 48 hours. Been there done that already in 2018. Let’s get a new utility company in NY ASAP. @RyeGSL@NYGovCuomo@ABC7NY
@ConEdison Totally unprepared as usual for restoring power in Westchester after a storm. One crew per municipality? Too cheap to prepare? Hopefully you get booted out by @NYGovCuomo. #conedsucks
