The paper takes a republican approach and argues for higher levels of cross border coordination between national parties: we cannot rely on intergovernmentalism!
The UK gov faces tough fiscal choices. But without a clear political vision, the only justification will be 'The OBR told us to'.
This limits our democratic imagination. We argued that Reeves is using the OBR the wrong way.

Public debt is on a constant upward trend - why not letting a board of economists decide how much the government should borrow each year?

If you cannot see both of these situations as sickening, you've lost your humanity:
1. Killing innocent people at a music festival in Israel.
2. Killing innocent people and calling for a complete siege of impoverished people in the Gaza strip.
The two things are compatible:
1. Acknowledge that Hamas is a vile and violent fundamentalist-Islamist Jihadi organization.
2. Acknowledge that the extreme right wing nationalist Israeli states’ violent and illegal occupation of Palestine must end for peace to prevail.

Here is my answer, once & for all. To Jonathan Gullis, and to everyone else who ever wondered.
