The Web3 space is becoming nothing more than a playground for influencers and KOLs, while the real community (the backbone of any project) is being blatantly sidelined.

Let’s talk about @berachain and @StoryProtocol. Their airdrops just confirmed two things:

- They don’t actually care about the community.
- They only value influencers and KOLs who hype them up.

Berachain had people farming their testnet for nearly *two years* (yes, *years*) only for those same dedicated users to get either crumbs or nothing at all in the $BERA airdrop. Meanwhile, influencers, yappers and KOLs who probably spent a grand total of *five minutes* tweeting got *five-figure allocations*. Make it make sense.

And then there’s Story Protocol. Same playbook, different project. People who *earned badges* (a supposed mark of participation) either got nothing or some insultingly small allocation, while the same influencers, KOLs and yappers who hopped on the hype train last minute walked away with the real rewards.

@berachain and @StoryProtocol, a genuine question:

*Do you only expect influencers and KOLs to use your platform on mainnet?*

Because let’s be real, the community you just alienated is *not* going to be there for you.

Look, no one’s saying influencers and KOLs shouldn’t get rewards. But when you’re only giving *1%* to **millions** of testers (people who spent weeks or months actively helping to refine your platform) what exactly are you hoarding tokens for? Is this just a VC cash-out scheme disguised as an ecosystem?

I seriously hope @monad_xyz, @megaeth, @0G_labs, and others do better. Otherwise, at this rate, Web3 is just turning into an insiders' club where only those with a following get the bag, and the real users get left behind.

Let’s see who actually respects their community and who’s just running another Web3 hustle.
