@Adam_Hosker@MortgageMikeN2 @Jayn1sh @UKDarrenJones Yes - true if buying a property held in personal name, into an SPV for first time.
If the property is already in an SPV, a new buyer can acquire the company itself - in turn taking ownership of the property - and only pay 0.5% stamp.
Very common in development / landlord BTL
@MortgageMikeN2 @Jayn1sh @UKDarrenJones@Adam_Hosker If they property is held in an SPV and the buyer acquires the company itself via share purchase agreement, only 0.5% stamp duty is due on the share sale.
@DanielPriestley Similar approach to countries with a sovereign wealth fund (Saudi, Norway). So important with ageing population, AI etc. Improves government’s fiscal position via capital appreciation not just taxation / spending, which is currently not working in so much of the western world.
@moving_charlie They went busy 4 yrs ago… how is this evidence of a recession today? Anything to fit the narrative, hoping people don’t click on the article!
@7Erzil This is 10 wins, 5 draws. = 35 points from 15 games. That’s 2.33 points per game, which over 38 games is 88.6 points, not 93. In order to be at 93 point pace you needed one of those draws to be a win.
@JWurzak It’s good, not the best. One of the newer countryside hotels and competes with places like Soho Farmhouse, Daylseford.
Best hotel in UK is The Newt, Somerset, which is a sister destination to Babylonstoren in SA.
"Perfection is impossible.
In the 1,526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches.
But what percentage of points did I win?
54%
In other words, even top ranked tennis players win barely more than half the points they play.
When you lose ever second point on average, you learn not to dwell on every shot.
You teach yourself to think:
'Okay, I double faulted...it's only a point.'
'Okay, I came to the net and I got passed again...it's only a point.'
Even a great shot, an overhead backhand smash that ends up on ESPN's top 10 playlist – that too is just a point.
Here's why I'm telling you this.
When you're playing a point, it has to be the most important thing in the world. And it is.
But when it's behind you, it's behind you.
This mindset is crucial – because it frees you to fully commit to the next point with intensity, clarity, and focus."

@torysheffer Aprao is pretty close to this. They help create an automated, standard appraisal for lenders based on simple inputs. Adapting it to track project costs would be simple.
Leadership.
It looks like this.
How Singapore prepares it citizens for the age AI.
While some western countries sell yesterday’s careers to prop up institutions that refuse to grow and adapt with life long financial burdens.

@DanTheInvestah@dtmorgan18 We are also moving into an El Niño cycle which increases the frequency and strength of hurricanes on the east coast (and has the opposite effect on the west coast).
