8 weeks of QA learning #321challenge
3 Wins: Reading PRDs, identifying bugs, and understanding API concepts. 2 Challenges: Anxiety over seeing code-like API features and API test running perfectly on first try. 1 Insight: Learning shifted from theory to heavy practical teaching

In one word, my week break was exhausting—and I’m so glad I had it. 😅
I used the time off to step away, catch up with tasks, and attend to other personal tasks that had been waiting. Taking a break isn't falling behind, it's resetting and coming back stronger for the next push

Learning QA changes how you see apps/websites.
This week I tested a sign-up flow on a website with boundary values + edge cases.
It was not formal, but it showed why testing early matters.

I used to think API was just developer grammar.
It clicked when I realized: it’s just an agreement between 2 systems.
"Send me this, I’ll give you that."
API = Waiter between apps
You request. It delivers.
That’s how apps scale.
Now I see APIs everywhere 😂

Week 1 felt like speaking a foreign language, but by Week 6, the patterns are clicking. From spotting edge cases to understanding API….
The hardest part? The further you go, the more intense it gets but the trick is not losing track.

Sometimes, it’s hard to be the only learner in the room. But, that’s where you need to be, and is necessary to build the trust that strengthens your personal brand and creates proof of your work.

In 4 weeks I learnt the defect lifecycle & functional testing, I can write clear test cases now. I persisted despite battling network issues & understanding QA terms at first.
Find bugs early. The earlier you catch them, the cheaper they’re to fix.

I learnt a lot this week @ FutureForge but one key takeaway for me was on Usability Testing. An app isn’t good just because it works. It’s good when users can actually use it. We test for Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Ease of Use. Built for end users not devs.

One major lesson I learnt from QA track this week is that exhaustive testing is impossible. You can’t test every device, screen size, or user habit. Instead of trying to test everything, QA is about priority, putting yourself in the user’s shoes to focus on what matters most.
My second week of learning has been amazing, when I saw the curriculum at week one, I was sincerely scared if I’d find it exciting but I’d say it’s been a great experience for me and with our lovely teacher who’s very calm I don’t think my learning would ever get overwhelming.
Another week, another opportunity to put your learning, and journey out there.
