Not sure if y’all heard, but Albany has apparently upgraded “mother” and “father” to “gestational parent” and “non-gestational parent.”

Which means, as a stepmom, I’ve finally achieved legal title parity with Dad.

Transparency is not anti-ACS.

Accountability is not anti-ACS.

NY just passed legislation replacing certain references to “mother” with “gestating parent” and “father” with “non-gestating parent” or “parent” in parts of state law.
Nobody has ever accused a stepmom of trying to be the gestating parent. @GovKathyHochul Stepmoms say TY!

My grandmother remembers when women needed a husband’s signature for a credit card.
