“Ah gawd, not another rotten funeral” - one of my favourite #SteptoeAndSon episodes ‘Oh, What a Beautiful Mourning’ on @BBCRadio4Extra tomorrow at 7.30am, 12.30 & 6.30pm. Written by #RayGaltonAndAlanSimpson & superbly adapted for the 1976 radio series.
“Limoges. 18th Century.”
This is a great surprise, Andrew Marshall's brilliant late 90s sitcom #Dad is on NOWTV! The two series star the legendary George Cole, Kevin McNally, Julia Hills (our Rona) and Toby Ross-Bryant.
This is a really entertaining sitcom that has been long unseen. Give it a watch!
Remembering comedy legend Tony Hancock, born #OTD 12 May 1924. With writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson, Hancock's Half Hour changed British comedy and influenced all the best sitcoms since. Even now, mention Magna Carta and we are transported back to a TV courtroom 66 years ago!
In the episode "Branded" (Series 3, Episode 11) the platoon are tested with a fire drill exercise in a smoke filled room.
Captain Mainwaring requests that Walker avoids smoking.

Carry On Screaming - "Frying Tonight" (1966)
Iconic! 😂😂One of the series best entries; a parody of the Hammer Horror films that were popular at the time. Fenella Fielding was brilliant in this as were all the cast including William H. Corbett in his only Carry On. Classic!
