Are you looking for a counselor or coach. Check out their background. Are they certified in blended/stepfamily?
I often see advice that is off course. It may urge the stepmother to immediately take charge.
Honor differences. Often couples have different customs and religions. Talk with the child about the different religious and/or cultural history. It is important that parents explain the meaning and significance of the holidays.
Holidays: Get close - create an atmosphere. Bake pies and cookies, or have eggnog and popcorn by the fire. Do NOT let the screen be the only warm glow in the room.

beginnings, especially in divorced and stepfamilies. Ex-spouses, be civil,
speak and act respectfully for the well-being of the children.
