@iqrafatma1278 Creating (or actually sharing because this isn't new) an AI picture complaining about kids playing with chalk on a private driveway ... Hmmmm, is that the faint stench of rage bait I smell...?
@NJMomforinpers1@JillFilipovic@SeattleWA_Mike@dieworkwear 2 different issues, but SheIn quality clothes do not last, so this can be a false economy. If you don't have time to research, then ethically buy more expensive clothes for a better chance of a less harmful supply chain. Also, thrifting for the win!
@JillFilipovic In the UK you get a minimum of 3 points for speeding. Reach 12 points, and you lose your license. Truly egregious speeding can score more points and even an immediate short ban. A speed awareness course can usually substitute for the first offense. Solid system.
@JRobb1995@SixoTF@HMBohemond I mean I'm just telling you my lived experience. And if you're saying 3+ decades of targeting boys with advertising was effective in selling more to boys then of course I would agree. But the idea that girls by nature wouldn't find a transformer a fun toy to play with is bizarre.
@JRobb1995@SixoTF@HMBohemond Not atypical amongst my friends. Like I get it, social conventions and sexist stereotypes might have discouraged some girls from being able to enjoy TF. But to assume "only a certain type of girl" would like them is wrong. I had my fair share of traditional "girl toys" too.
@TheMoonglowin@SixoTF@Cranberryscause I'm genuinely baffled why you think a girl wouldn't find a robot that turned into a vehicle, to be a fun toy to play with?
@JRobb1995@SixoTF@HMBohemond Do tell me about the "certain type of woman" to which you speak?
I was a kid that thought robots that turned into vehicles were fun to play with, and I liked cartoons.
Did I do "being a child" wrong?
@WelshDebra@LDN_TWEET@claudelittner I used to work for a large health and social care provider, so FULL respect for what you do! Constant staff turnover, and hard to recruit (and retain) good people. There may be a recruitment business niche there, but you're spot on - they never explained how she would meet it.
@claudelittner I think the candidates were as credible as ever, and as you say a healthy mix. But production wise I found it a harder watch this year. I didn't feel they 'told the story' in as compelling a way as in the past. It all felt rushed - maybe too many candidates?
@LDN_TWEET@claudelittner This was the elephant in the room for me, and the fact it wasn't mentioned was a screaming indicator she couldn't win. Her USP was 1:1 conversations? I'm sure she's very good, but she can't be 50,000 places at once.
The series has lost some quality.
@SixoTF@___Asmodeus____ What I feel in equal parts infuriating and amusing, is that this individual thinks he is "in charge" or "owns" the fandom to permit or deny access?
My man, I don't need your permission to do ANYTHING.
@SixoTF People out there buying their 14th version of OP, and we're told there isn't a market for ONE version of a female character? I would have loved an Arcee back then and am looking with disdain at this idiotic gatekeeping
@1Capak@gaghyogi49 I always felt it was an intentional nod to Picard letting go of the past in favor of a much more treasured possession: his family album. But agreed, the lack of care towards something supposedly so rare is off-putting!
