This includes checking all the equipment and medication, checking the anaesthetic machines is operational, checking all airway equipment is set up and available for the day ahead.

Today we’re going to be bringing you a live day in the life of an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).

We’ll be following @StephKennedy15 one of 30 ODPs here at Bolton.

With approximately 15K ODPs in the UK, we have around 10K working in the NHS.
