Our next step in developing a peaceful and inclusive atmosphere is to determine if students feel left out or stressed by our classroom climate. We will create a suggestion box for students to share ideas and concerns anonymously. #XW1W-E
Our ideal school day would include a mix of different types of activities, and each day would look different. It would include some quiet times and time for working with our friends. We would also have time to take breaks to rest our brains! #XW1W-E
One of our favorite opportunities for students to make decisions is when we get choice boards. When we are provided with choice boards for learning, we always do better because we get to choose the activities that interest us the most. #XW1W-E
One method of demonstrating fairness and justice in our room is when our teacher uses an online name wheel to select students to answer questions or participate in activities. This shows fairness by making choices randomly by including all students. #XW1W-E
Our class works hard to promote peace and harmony by always taking the time to understand everyone's point of view. It helps us when we understand and take the other person's feelings into account. #XW1W-E
We had some scissors come in plastic packages that were impossible to open! They could be sold with a light coating at the ends to protect the tips and wouldn't need so much plastic that would damage the environment. #XW1W-E
@Edpuzzle just announced Teacher Assist at #Bett2023. So excited about this new feature that will save me so much time! Can’t wait to try the new generate questions tool and auto-grading for open-ended questions. #EdpuzzleMagic
It was really hard for some of us to commit to giving up recess forever because the billionaire is only helping one town. After a lot of discussions, we chose to give up recess but want to bargain with the billionaire to help in more places. #XW1W-E
Many students run more water in the bathroom sinks than is necessary. They turn the water on and let it run for a long time instead of washing hands quickly and turning the water off. Our plan is to put posters in the bathrooms with water-saving suggestions. #XW1W-E
Here is our water-saving tip - instead of letting the water run the whole time when washing our hands, we all try to turn off the water after we add soap, then turn it back on only when ready to rinse it off. #XW1W-E
Katie Couric is a great role model from Virginia! She won many awards in journalism. Unfortunately, this list doesn't have a lot of females; we would like to see it changed to include more women role models! https://t.co/FbxpkPVONE #XW1W-E
More important - physical or mental health? Good question; we had a great discussion about this with many students on both sides. In the end, we leaned toward mental health as being most important because when you think clearly, you can appreciate good physical health. #XW1W-E
We don't see any local produce included on our recent lunch menu. This area produces many fruits and vegetables annually that would be a great addition to our menus! #XW1W-E
The best, and most simple way, for us to reduce our carbon footprint is to use reusable bags and packaging. We are going to promote the use of reusable containers for students who bring lunches to school. #XW1W-E
Our community is located by the sea. Rising sea levels and flooding are huge concerns. This affects homes and businesses in areas that would flood more easily. In addition, warming oceans have caused problems with algae blooms and food sources for ocean animals.#XW1W-E
