Alomar is the tip of the iceberg. This isn't new in baseball, in other sports, in any business where men act as the gatekeepers. People don't come forward because they're accused of "doing it for attention."
I'm guessing none of my male counterparts were ever invited to "come over for a pool day" by players or coaches when writing a story, but correct me if I'm wrong.
As great as you might think some of these players are for the memories they gave you on the field, abhorrent behavior off the field should make you sad and disgusted. It happens all the time. Still.
I had a lot of awesome male mentors and friends. I also had a lot of industry doors slammed in my face when men were acting inappropriately. They're all still working.
