I cried seeing this photo of Gabriel Magalhaes’ mother, Andrea. She said she “never wanted to get up again” but felt she had to speak out on the systemic injustices around homelessness and mental health. There is no more courageous hero tonight. People/families deserve better.

@MKatieBunting @CAOT_ACE we have a responsibility to have our clinicians and educators to reflect the population we serve, and to actively be anti-racist as a profession. We need to really reflect on what "change agent" means.
@MKatieBunting @CAOT_ACE a good place to start would be by actively recruiting BIPOC students, diversifying faculties, and making anti-racism curriculum a mandatory educational component.
