For those with short memories, this was the Jay report. It made 20 recommendations to the then Home Secretary Suella Braverman.
Nothing was done.
Rather than start a new inquiry, shall we actually implement the findings of the last one.
The Motability scheme costs you £500m a year, oops sorry that's the Royal Family.
The Motability scheme costs you £42bn a year, oops sorry that's Brexit.
The Motability scheme costs you £150bn a year, oops sorry tax breaks to billionaires/millionaires.
On 1 January, the 20% VAT break for private school fees will come to an end, enabling better investment in state education and helping to recruit 6,500 new teachers.

To those complaining about the low birth rate, here’s a few ideas…
1) Treat women with respect. They are not your maid/servant/mom/receptacle. Even if the women is your maid or your mom, they deserve respect.
2) Treat mothers with respect. It is one of the most difficult jobs out there with the least compensation. Oh yeah, don’t get mad when women say they deserve compensation for literally creating/raising life.
3) Treat babies & children with respect. If you want to raise good members of society, it starts young. That doesn’t mean place babies above all else, but it does mean you need to stop complaining any time a child is in public.
4) One of the most important (despite being #4)…PUT TIME, RESEARCH, & MONEY INTO WOMEN’S HEALTH ISSUES. PREGNANCY IS DANGEROUS….MORE EFFORT NEEDS TO MADE TO KEEP WOMEN AND BABIES HEALTHY.
If you can do these things, you might see women CHOOSING to have more children.

“It’s fantastic news that elacestrant has been approved for use on the NHS in England, providing for the first time, a targeted treatment specifically for certain people with ER-positive, HER2-negative incurable secondary breast cancer with an ESR1 mutation.” @clairerowney
How true is this though?
I was made to sit next to a boy who was extremely disruptive in order to ‘help’ him and he did nothing but distract me and get me in trouble for months.
I was expected to change his behaviour, keep him quiet, influence him to concentrate, and basically manage his behaviour!
So I have a few things to say on this pattern:
1. Stop making girls and women responsible for boys and mens’ behaviour
2. If you are a teacher - do not do this to girls in your class, it’s totally unfair on them. It’s your job to address the behaviour of the disruptive student, not hers.
3. Consider how we set the scene for domestic abuse and lives of servitude and managing male behaviour by expecting girls at school to do this when they should be focussing on their education
Huge thanks to vulgardrawings for this cartoon xx
The Lib Dems went from 11 MPs in the 2019 GE to 72 MPs in 2024.
But hey, don't let that stop the BBC endlessly talking about Reform and their 5 MPs

The world is 700% richer than in 1970 but the average person is only 8% richer.
Because the richest 0.01% are 4000% richer.
We are all being robbed every second of every day, and it doesn't matter how much profit or growth there is.
It will never reach you.
I have nothing but love for everyone who has shared the video or song link on their social media
Yeah it’s a mega tune but more importantly it’s about the @samaritans and I see who you are

Social care.
Carer's Allowance in the UK = £81.90 per week max. for providing 24/7 care - £1,400 per month in Germany.
£81 is disgraceful. It's way out of step with the times and costs.

We need to show we can do better at assisted living for those in need of care before deciding whether to legislate on ways to die.

I keep hearing about hard working people.
My Dad did 43 yrs down the pit (we were 7th? generation miners)
They powered this country + both Wars we continually brag about.
Paid tax until he died of lung disease.
He didn't inherit the pit.
So nobody gives a toss.
Just saying.
