When you’re in love, your brain constantly pumps dopamine, the same chemical for pleasure.

A text from them, their voice, even just a thought of them gives you a dopamine hit.

Your brain actually rewires itself to expect those hits. You’re not just emotionally attached, you’re chemically hooked.

So, when a breakup happens, those dopamine hits vanish overnight. Your brain reacts to it like drug withdrawal, pulling you back to the source of the ‘drug’ hoping for just one more hit… which is why you stalk, text, beg, having obsessive thoughts etc.

It’s not weakness, it’s literally biology. You’re detoxing from a person 😘
