"Everyone is a Ferrari fan" is true because even if I wasn't one, over the last decade that team has made so many headlines, in the stupidest of fashion, win or lose, I'd have also developed a bond out of pity for the drivers
I’m amazed at people who are addicted to consuming content that triggers them.
Can never be me. If the algorithm starts to move weird, I immediately start pushing the “not interested” and “show less content like this” buttons.
I love South Africans… or maybe this is more a Joburg thing.
It was cold today. 15°.
I went to a shopping center. To watch a movie.
I was wearing my Uggs (don’t judge, I love those things), jeans and a big warm jacket. I walked past a guy in shorts and plakkies.
He was wearing a hoodie but SHORTS AND PLAKKIES. 🤣😂
@mrslwando@Investec From what I was told there's been a shift away from the banker being the primary servicing contact and push for more service requests to go through the call centre who are admittedly better than other banks. The rewards scheme and vehicle financing were my reasons for leaving.
@lance_letuka That wasn't the marketing pitch to the ANC faithful. It was that they're bring back CR, someone with struggle credentials, early democracy days input into the constitution. The billionaire stuff was to sell him to corporate SA and the middle class.
The modern church is lost to money and power. They want to grow their following for personal gain. They're all preaching the same nonsense, "the world is lost but come let's pray until it all ends". The world wasn't lost when Christ sat with prostitutes and criminals.
@_BellaM_ That's capitalism for you. Cultural appropriation will flourish and become mass market in the hands of those with money not those with authenticity and connection to the culture. It's the "chai tea" model, take something ethnically significant and water it down for profit.
@JustXavierB On average we're all supposed to save 15% of gross pay for retirement and emergency savings before even considering investing. This is something many people overlook when thinking about a suitable income for themselves.
@KhananiShingan1 Very elaborate as well. Some places just water other places you only buy hot water basically a substitute for electricity you spend on a geyser because they have central water heating.
