And the food retail sector could really use a major new player or two. Canada's supermarket giants have become complacent and offer little to their customers. Sobeys, Metro, Loblaws all offer the same products, same promos, same generic customer service and experience. They can swap the banners from each other's storefront and I wouldn't notice. They know no new competitor will invest in Canada, so Canadians lose out.

Matt Tkatchuk forced a trade out of Calgary to play in the US a few years ago. Brady Tkachuk has 2 more years left on his contract, and he'll definitely not re-sign. Either the Sens trade him by next season and get something for him, or he leaves as a free agent, and the Sens get nothing.
