@GregChap70 @lutzfernandez There are times where you can respectfully agree to disagree and there are times where you stand up and call out the bull. You don't remove important & inclusive language from ed resources in order to make a sale.

There is NO reason to publicly shame teachers for what they have on their @amazon wishlists. You don't know what their situation is and public school teachers don't make a lot. If you don't want to donate, that is your choice but public humiliation is never ok. #clearthelist

@SraBrownWKMS Our reality just doesn't match best practice. A large part of that, IMO, are the state's gen assemblies writing ed policy and creating mandates without having any knowledge of educational research while leaving educators out of the conversation.

I hadn't thought about the virtual aspect of education...virtual teachers need supplies and equipment, too, even if those supplies will be used in their own homes!

#teachertwitter...it has been brought to my attention that our colleagues in NC could use our help! The largest school district in the state has banned Amazon wishlists. Any DC lists must be pre-approved and classroom budgets are kept at <$50.

NC teachers...How can we help?

@laura_goodner @lizdenn They don't seem to put 2 and 2 together, do they?! What happens when there are no teachers? I don't think they have thought that far ahead...if they have, they don't think it will really happen. In the end, kids suffer...and it will not be the fault of the teachers..

@tortiegertie @amazon Not Amazon's responsibility to fund students and teachers. If we have a problem with the tax breaks these big businesses receive, we have to take those that legislate those tax breaks to task..

@RoulstonJess I was having trouble with the pay wall, too but found this. The explicit phonics concerns blow my mind...kids benefit when it is taught explicitly and systematicly!
