The Houthis are gearing up for potential anti ship missile launches, releasing footage that appears to show their Asef anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) as they continue to threaten commercial shipping linked to Saudi Arabia.

The missile shown is estimated to be around 10 meters long and is distinguished by its prominent tail fins. Its design closely resembles Iran's Khalij Fars, an anti-ship variant of the Fateh 110 and Fateh 313 family of ballistic missiles.

The Asef ASBM is reported to have a range of up to 500 kilometers, or about 270 nautical miles, and is designed to strike moving maritime targets. It is also believed to carry a warhead weighing around 380 kilograms, although some sources suggest it may be capable of carrying a larger payload.
