@PS5StockAlertUK I got one! Thank you to whoever runs this for helping the middle aged Mamas navigate the unfamiliar hellscape that is gadget shopping.
@GormanNici It means they have taken your context into consideration and allowed your kid straight into the 3 year, even without meeting usual requirements. It means they think s/he is awesome and see their potential as well as their achievements - kudos.
@IainDale@LBC Now, he is thriving. He is performing academically above age level, and even more importantly, becoming a wonderful, happy person. I am trying to avoid hyperbole, but I would do almost anything to avoid putting him back into a system that torments neurodiverse people.
@IainDale@LBC I could not. So I quit my normal life and threw everything into my kid, 24/7. He was told not to bother learning how to write. He was constantly in trouble, and on the path to becoming an aggressive person.
We home educate, but we are not invisible. We are out in the world, unrestricted by classroom walls - learning from experts and on location. #FairHearing4HomeEd#homeednotvulnerable
@athenafairy@CommonsEd Yes, it is. Our son is flourishing now he is out of school - no masking, no coping, no meltdowns, just him being awesome all day every day ๐
We home educate so my autistic son has full and consistent access to the tools he needs for self-regulation, and so he never has to choose between happiness and learning. #FairHearing4HomeEd@CommonsEd
We home educate because when children have the opportunity to pursue their personal interests, and are not held back by curriculum limitations, excellence happens. #FairHearing4HomeEd@drcarolinej@ApsanaBegumMP
We home educate because we understand that outdoor education is the most developmentally appropriate way for children to learn. #FairHearing4HomeEd @halfon4harlowMP
@RealGeoffBarton@GethincJones@msm4rsh@BBCMorningLive I am disappointed you opted to casually conflate deliberate and thoughtful education outside of school, with absence from education. We make huge effort to offer what the system will/can not, and donโt appreciate such careless characterisation of our work.
@annelongfield Concerning? My son couldnโt read or write his name when he left school about a year ago, and now reads 4y โabove age levelโ. Maybe you should be more concerned about finding schools adequately and providing for SEN children.
@CommonsEd@NNPCF@LGAcomms@ADCStweets This process has been deeply disappointing thus far. It is quite incredible that the Chair feels announcing his personal bias is appropriate, that the voices of EHE families have been largely absent, and that key data has been conjured from assumptions rather than research.
@zekechanguris@arlenparsa@wlblaney I think itโs a county by county thing. I only know Kentucky, but some school districts there had some pretty interesting versions of โscienceโ and โhistoryโ.
@FortuneGENTILE @ChrissHexter@ItGlock@CNN I know itโs hard to understand, but sex and gender are two different things. Two is a big number, but you can do this. Sex - biologically defined. Gender - not so much. Use flash cards, they are a great tool when there is lots to learn.
@AtillatheNan@debrakidd Not the only difference (of course!), but the only significant difference that I could observe. When I see girls in those lovely summer dresses, nervous about flashing their knickers, I could cry. Or in early senior school in pencil skirts, unable to even climb a tree ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
