Bridgwater Utd Captain Hana Bennett Faces Knee Operation After Injury.

Bridgwater United Women’s captain Hana Bennett is set for a spell on the sidelines after it was confirmed she requires knee surgery following a recent injury.

The influential midfielder, who has been a key figure for the club, since joining over a year ago, sustained the injury during a training session recently.

Everyone at the club have expressed their support for Bennett, describing her leadership and presence as “irreplaceable” both on and off the pitch.

The club says her recovery and rehabilitation will be carefully managed, though no official timeline has been placed on her return.

Signing of Steph Beck, Adds Experience to Bridgwater United Women FC

Bridgwater United Women FC can confirm the signing of Steph Beck, an experienced central midfielder who brings proven quality and leadership to the squad ahead of the new FA Women’s National League season.

Beck was part of the Exeter City side that lifted the Tier Four title just two years ago, and her track record speaks for itself. Composed in possession, a natural communicator, and highly effective at organising play, she is set to play a key role in Bridgwater’s campaign.

“Steph’s experience and calmness on the ball will be invaluable." Said Head Coach, Steve Perkins.  "She’s a natural leader on and off the pitch, and her presence will help guide and inspire the squad throughout the season.”

Beck herself is looking forward to the challenge: “I’m excited to be here and ready to give my all. This is a great club with big ambitions, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Supporters can see Beck in red and black for the first time at Home on Sunday, 24th August, when Bridgwater host Bristol Rovers Women FC at The North Somerset Sports Foundation Stadium, Clevedon.
