@JiaJennyLiu@CraigUnderhill This is desperately needed, incorporation of the patient lived experience in these trials. Effective but not tolerable deserves further exploration in the ADC era.
@blaing99@RockStarsCurl@jjonescurl Definitely needs a major shakeup. Best on best, qualify based on rankings similar to the trials. Look at what other top countries are doing, sadly time for the representative from each province to go, keep that format for club championship event.

Triple therapy for #COPD: Understanding evidence is complicated: https://t.co/nRJgVnQHsF
Current evidence doesn't support first-line triple tx in treatment-naïve COPD patients, nor routinely adding ICS for people already using LAMA/LABA inhaler
Ontario's community health sector is facing a staffing crisis due to a growing wage gap. If we don’t act now, it will mean:
•Reduced services
•Longer wait times
•More unnecessary emergency department visits

Generations of drugs have struggled to fix seniors' sleep issues—is it time to tackle the problem at its roots instead? @ayeshajenna reports on how the overprescription of sleeping pills reflects a stretched-thin healthcare system in need of change: https://t.co/4l6O7o0EoZ
Literally discussed this with one of our new PGY-1s yesterday. Such inequitable access to care within our community, team based models should be the standard of primary care!
4. We’re not doing enough to manage expectations at a system level. The Ontario system is already two tiered with FHT-attached patients supported by other key health providers. Some people get access to unnecessary tests/procedures while others miss basic health needs. We don’t have adequate metrics to assess and improve quality of access and care.
CMA is calling for a scaling up of interprofessional primary care teams that serve patients in local catchment areas, the way public schools do. The association wants 80 per cent of Canadians to have access to such teams. https://t.co/Lbm15CTB0I can help https://t.co/6VXP3QDoWo

Cancer is on the rise in young people. Much of the increase is attributable to colon and rectal cancers (up 63% since 1990), but breast, cervical, and skin cancers are still the most likely cancers to develop in adults under 50. To understand this disturbing trend, I'm going to be talking to Dr. John Marshall, director of the Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers at Georgetown University on IG Live at 9 pm EST tonight. Send in your questions below.
It was such a pleasure being a part of this show with @JudithRDavidson 😊
