Miss Nasso 🍎📘 Fourth Year Bachelor of Primary Education ACU 📚✏️ “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn” - Benjamin Franklin
We looked at Gary Provost’s original version of ‘This sentence has 5 words’ and created our own! ✏️
I loved doing these last year and this cohort created some fab ones too!

If we do not reflect on our teaching practises, we are unable to evaluate what is effective and what is not; therefore, we are unable to improve for the better #acuedu_p
Completing the week 10 hurdle task made me reflect on how highly insightful and engaging the Ready, Steady, Teach Conference was. I learnt a lot from listening to the advice and experiences of teachers and principals from different school sectors #acuedu_p
We believe in supporting teachers to become research-informed.
A teacher who understands how memory & learning works makes better choices in their classroom .
Ready, Steady, Teach Conference completed✅
4 years of Uni done and dusted just like that! No more Uni! Now it’s time to get this GTPA & Portfolio finished! Bring on graduation I say!👩🏽🎓✨ #ACUedu_p
A huge thank you to STC school for welcoming me and giving me the opportunity to become a part of your community, and to my mentor and Ss who accepted me into your classroom and have helped me become a better teacher #acuedu_p
Can’t believe how fast the past 7 weeks have gone! I am beyond blessed and grateful for the experience I’ve had. It’s the most rewarding feeling when Ss tell you the impact you’ve had in their lives #acuedu_p
Day 34/35: Today I am grateful. I am grateful for the past few weeks I got to spend with my Year 5 class & I am grateful for whatever the future brings for me beyond this PRAC. 1 day to go and I’m feeling some very mixed emotions!😭☺️💜 #ACUedu_p
I heard this quote this week, “they’re not giving you a hard time, they are having a hard time,” very useful to try and remember this when we are responding to children’s behaviour #patience
Attended my first Professional Learning staff day, which focused on Mathematics. I had a great day working alongside an amazing team, and learnt so much. We discussed effective pedagogical strategies, which ensure that teachers give Ss more ownership in their learning #acuedu_p
“Today, my teacher thanked me for the way I contribute to the class!”
“Mom, my teacher seems happy to see me every time I walk into the room.”
“Dad, my teacher asked me how my art show went. I didn’t realize he knew how much I liked art!”
What are our students saying about us?
I was talking to my dad about teaching. I said I found it hard... It has taken me a long time to find my feet, and I'm still finding them. My dad sent me this book with this page bookmarked. Hopefully someone who's struggling see's this and it helps them too. #teacher#dontquit
