I write about productivity, careers and leadership for @FastCompany. I'm also on a #wowmoment mission because I learned firsthand that life is too short.
I’m starting a support group for people who didn’t see the Northern Lights last night.

I am 62 years old, single, and recently, after watching “Love Actually” for the 17th time — toxic though it may be — I downloaded a dating app and started the arduous process of vetting men so that I, too, might actually find love. Again. (a thread)
@shitscaredmum This is my husband, David. He died in April after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was an amazing husband and father, an excellent golfer, and a great friend. I miss him every day.
@Astro_Mike shared his 30-second productivity tip with me for this story. (Oh, and for the record, he's cooler than Morris the Cat.) https://t.co/FovHW3S5BJ
@mhiggins No suggestions. Just a comment: You were doing flys with 60 pound weights? Wow! I crumble when I try to go from 5s to 8s. Hope you heal soon!!
@kelsieswrites@ChrisSnowCGY@kelsieswrites I'm so sorry for your loss and your 1st birthday w/o Chris. I lost my husband 5 mo ago to pancreatic cancer. I know this journey. A friend sent me Permission to Mourn. The book was a lifeline for my first month. It's a fast read by someone who deeply knows loss.
It's not every day you insult a famous astronaut. Learn how my 25-year-old self threw shade at Jim Lovell, commander of #Apollo13. Thankfully he had a sense of humor. #wowmoment#iwasyoung#iknowbetternow#morristhecat https://t.co/8SVhhivGOb
Love this story of friends who tried to check into their Nashville hotel but the employee on duty had left. What did they do? Worked the desk, of course. #wowmoment https://t.co/D57CG1TRzZ
While I was out on a walk, I asked David to show me a sign that he's with me. Two minutes later, I found a quarter on the sidewalk. It was a state quarter from Missouri ... the "show me" state. Well played, my love. #widow#wowoment
@gretchenrubin Reframe nervous as excitement. Both manifest w/the same physical response (elevated heart rate) & your mind's tendency to doublecheck your self talk will pan out. But being excited lets you go into the situation focused on the value you're giving the audience instead of yourself.
