Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in.
If I bought my property outright for $60,000 in 2009
Now the county says it’s worth $246,000.
Did I sell it? No.
Did I make a profit? No.
Did I get a check for $246,000? No.
But my taxes jumped like I did.
That’s the problem.
This isn’t income.
This isn’t cash.
This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it.
If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell.
If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax.
So why does owning a home work differently?
Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains?
A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money.
You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it.
This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.”
It’s about being charged for value you never received.
And people are starting to notice.
This needs to be on everyone’s mind✔️
My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last.
No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe.
Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5.
In a few short years, they’ll be out of the house and you’ll have all the time in the world for your own stuff. It’s okay to come last for a while.
Teaching my daughter about payroll withholding
She did chores all week so I owe her $10
I hand her $7
> this isn't $10
"right, I withheld the rest"
> what does that mean
"I kept $3 of your money"
> but it's my money
"It was your money"
> what are you even doing with it?
"Funding household infrastructure"
> what
"The roof over your head. The hallway you walk through to get to the bathroom. The door locks that keep strangers out"
> you're charging me for the hallway
"I'm charging you for access to the hallway. The hallway itself was a capital expenditure"
> you're my dad. you're supposed to---
"I'm also your government"
> what if I don't want to pay for the hallway
"Then I can't guarantee the hallway"
> it's a hallway. It's already there
"For now"
She asks what else the $3 covers
"Meals, dispute resolution, nightlight maintenance"
> dispute resolution?
"When your brother takes your toys and I make him give them back. That's taxpayer funded"
> that's just parenting
"That's the Department of Justice"
> what about meals. You already feed me
"That's a social program. Not everyone qualifies"
> I'm your daughter
"Which is why you're currently enrolled"
She wants to see where the money goes
I tell her that would require a FOIA request
> what's that
"A form asking me to show you what I do with your money. Processing time is 6 to 8 weeks"
> 6 weeks to see where my $3 went?
"Could be longer. We're understaffed"
> there's two of you
She asks how she gets any of it back
"It's already spent"
> you spent my money already?
"We had a budget shortfall"
> you just took it 20 seconds ago
"And the deficit existed 30 seconds ago. The timing worked out"
> so I'm not getting it back
"I didn't say that. You might qualify for a refund"
> of my own money
"Correct. You just have to fill out a form telling me how much you made"
> you know how much I made. You paid me
"Right but I need you to tell me how much I paid you"
> so you already know the answer
"The point is compliance"
She asks what happens if she gets the number wrong
"Penalty"
> from the money I don't have because you already spent it?
"We could set up a payment plan"
> I'm 8
"Monthly installments. Very manageable"
> you're going to penalize me for getting wrong a number you already know and then make me pay you back with money you took from me
"Now you're getting it"
> I want to talk to mom
"Mom's not a qualified representative. She can't help you here"
She stormed off to her room saying how this is extortion
Slammed the door
That's my little citizen
I've never been more proud
BREAKING NEWS: Public School System in FULL PANIC MODE: Parents are ditching yellow buses for kitchen tables… and their kids are suddenly SMARTER, HAPPIER, and actually LIKE learning!
Share with parents who need to hear it.
I don't know about you.
But when I take my family out to dinner, I don't bring an iPad to shut the kids up.
Coloring books? Sure. If they get fidgety.
But a screen? No.
Here's the problem:
Parents hand their kids an iPad because they don't want to actually parent in public.
They don't want to:
• Deal with questions
• Manage behavior
• Engage with their kids
So they outsource it to a screen.
And that's a slippery slope.
Because the more you rely on tech to pacify your kids, the less they learn:
• How to sit with boredom
• How to behave in public
• How to have a conversation
You're not making things easier.
You're making them dependent.
And when they can't function without a screen? That's on you.
Your kids don't need constant entertainment.
They need you to actually show up and parent them.
I don't CARE WHAT NOOBODY SAYS.....That Vaccine has completely CHANGED people. Everyone I know that got it ARE DIFFERENT!!! 💯💯💯💯 People are dumber, diminished critical thinking skills, more disagreeable, less friendly and social. Some of their eyes are just...dead.....I KNOW WHAT I SEE and people are DIFFERENT!!!
@Villgecrazylady Most don’t have the bandwidth to follow Candace … she’s too smart too detailed for those who can’t think critically… every word she says is soooo crystal clear to me 🙏🙏🙏
🚨 The "Bride of Charlie" Series by @RealCandaceO is about to be the BIGGEST series ANY podcaster has ever done. 🏆
I can almost guarantee you, they will try to ban or limit podcasting in some sense after her series airs!
They don't want us discussing facts anymore... 🙄🤦🏾♂️🇺🇸
Smart phones really just ruined everything. People don’t even know how to sit still and think anymore, let alone pick up a book and read. Everyone is constantly overstimulated, addicted to the passive consumption of random bits of content streamed into their eyeballs at light speed. Kids are raised this way from birth. It’s unhuman. Disastrous for the mind and soul.
Learning to cook so you can teach your kids to cook Isn't reverting back to traditionalism.
It's rejecting the current system of eating poison in every single meal.
Today, my homeschooled children learned how to install a bathroom faucet after ours broke. One of the best parts of homeschooling is that you get to turn everyday problems into lessons. It’s your chance to teach competence, confidence & real world life skills.
You think the greatest privilege you can give your kids is a big house, a good school and a trust fund.
You're wrong.
It's a mom and dad who stay married.
No amount of co-parenting or "quality time every other weekend" replicates what a child gets from watching their parents build a life together.
This isn't popular. But it's true.
