One Nation just dropped a plan to take net overseas migration to zero by slashing more than 750,000 arrivals, reset the temporary visa population to 2017 levels, then cap it at 130,000.

Peter Malinauskas called cutting mass migration “madness.” Then he cited Treasury figures: an Australian-born citizen costs the budget $85,000 over a lifetime. A single skilled migrant, he said, delivers a $415,000 benefit.

That’s the message: importing a worker is worth more than raising and training the next generation of Australians. Treat your own people as a net cost and you shouldn’t be surprised when they feel replaceable.

BREAKING: One Nation just voted AGAINST Labor’s ASIO Bill.

This bill pretends to fight terrorism while refusing to name the ideology actually driving the threat: radical Islam.

Australia must protect life, property and freedom.

Instead, Labor’s bill expands state power, inserts vague questioning powers ripe for future political abuse, and deliberately avoids confronting the real security threat.

One Nation moved amendments that would have forced the bill to deal with radical Islamic ideology head on and strip out the dangerous overreach.

Labor and the rest of the chamber voted them down.

When a bill prioritises control over genuine protection, we cannot support it.

This is not serious national security.

It’s theatre.
