I’m really excited to be in Rajasthan today where ⁦⁦@SPANAcharity⁩ will be working with our colleagues at Brooke India today to deliver an animal welfare education workshop to 70 head teachers.

Spending some time with Chocolate & Tedele, resident #Humane #Educators at The @SPANA animal handling centre in Bishoftu, Ethiopia.

I was recently privileged to participate in a sensitisation workshop at the ⁦@SPANAcharity⁩ education centre in Harare. I am really looking forward to working with these teachers to develop a bespoke #HumaneEducation programme for Zimbabwe to complement their curriculum

I’m here at the launch of ⁦@SPANAcharity⁩ animal welfare clubs in Maun, Botswana. Here club patrons are learning about the importance of giving clear instructions and creating a safe environment for teachers. Lots of fun. #humaneeducation

This year we've treated more working animals, trained more vets and taught more children and owners about the importance of animal welfare. But this work is only possible because of you, our amazing supporters. From everyone at SPANA, thank you ❤️️

Many thanks to The Dog-Father, Tom Sandi of Campaign Against Cruelty to Animals in Sierra Leone. He’s a truly inspirational #HumaneEducator uniting communities by sharing his love of animals with the children. ⁦@SPANAcharity⁩ is proud to support him.

Tomorrow (Friday 15 June) is #InternationalWorkingAnimalDay - a day to raise awareness of the vital role working animals still play today around the world. Please RT to give these animals the recognition they deserve

Today I saw this child and donkey working together on the rubbish dumps in Bamako, Mali. It just brings home to you why the work of @SPANAcharity to teach children kindness for animals is so important.

[Stephen Albone @StephenAlbone]

I really enjoyed a nuzzle from this rescued donkey foal at the @SPANAcharity #HumaneEducation centre in Jordan. He seems to love the children who visit him too. Proof that a little kindness can go a long way.

[Stephen Albone @StephenAlbone]

I have just spent a pointless but thoroughly enjoyable hour failing to teach this this little fluff ball to sit. However I am certain that she’s still going to be a big hit with the children visiting the @SPANAcharity #HumaneEducation centre in Jordan.

Sunk the horse was once a patient of our veterinary team in Jordan. Now he’s a very welcome addition to their education centre, where he helps children learn the importance of compassion and respect for animals ❤️️

Happy #WorldBookDay! We think stories are a great way of teaching children about the importance of animal welfare. What's your favourite book about animals? 📖

[Stephen Albone @StephenAlbone]

I love this true story about two little boys and an orphaned donkey. It illustrates the joined up nature of the veterinary and education work of @SPANAcharity. https://t.co/NH0gnmWyjm

During my recent trip to Tunisia I visited the Musee du Bardo and saw this beautiful Roman mosaic. I was struck by just how little has changed in rural parts of the country in 2000 years. Thankfully @SPANAcharity continues to work hard to help these animals and their people.
