Tourniquets can be fashioned out of whatever you have with you: scarves or ties, strong wooden sticks, cutlery etc.
But in a time of crisis, how readily available will those items be?
All of the advice we promote comes from the message of RUN, HIDE, TELL.
Run: Get as far away from the incident as you can. If you can't run...
Hide: Get somewhere out of the way, turn your phone to silent, keep as quiet as you can.
Tell: When you are not in danger, ring 999.
Is your blood type O positive or O negative?
The NHS needs more O positive and O negative blood donations.
Giving blood saves lives. The blood you give is a lifeline in an emergency.

We need your help here at @ThecitizenAID. We need you to spread the word, whether it's promoting our free app to your friends, family & colleagues; or promoting the citizenAID website on your organisation's website or intranet. What can you do to help people #BePreparedNotScared
Bleed Control kits are vital to stop unnecessary deaths through blood loss whilst waiting for emergency services to arrive on scene. Can you put a kit in your office, your store or anywhere close to public areas? Can we help? https://t.co/DG32lCMKWd

Myself & Jane Wilson would be grateful if you could spare a few £ as we are doing a charity helipad abseil next month to raise much-needed funds for London's Air Ambulance Charity. We still need to raise over £500, every £ will make a difference. Donate at https://t.co/a6LICUzUG9
If you're thinking about sharing an image about #Plymouth, please don't, share this instead, and be helpful. Don't splash what's maybe a murder victim all over here. #BePreparedNotScared

You are first on scene at a severe incident.
You are faced with 3 people needing triage treatment.
Using your knowledge of the citizenAID app, in what order do you treat the injured people, and what do you do for each person?
As the evening shift approaches, we remain extremely busy.
If you need help, but you know it’s not life-threatening and aren’t sure what to do, https://t.co/oWFZ4imtMH or 111 can give medical advice or reassurance.
