Small meat has become one of my favourite breakfasts. Lamb fried with spices, tomato and lots of oil. Served by a lot of arabic/central Asian places. This is Watan, an Afghan place on Smithdown Road. The hot, fresh, kitchen made bread makes an enormous difference.

Castro's in the city centre is rightly famous for its' sandwiches but the tortilla is also excellent, and interesting. It's got a chunky but creamy exture, think I has lots of garlic too.

Accidentally ordered far too much at Namu Oru Dosa off Edge Lane last night.

Great, cheap, simple, Sri Lankan place.

Especially enjoyed the lentil soup, deep fried cauliflower and of course a dosa.
