At #NewfordDemo,Some of our very first Aubrac calves have been born🐄
Deerpark Nevin,a @bova_ai bull was chosen as a new bull last year for our first calvers based on his ease of calving. He’s working out great so far, with very little assistance needed for strong, lively calves👏
At #NewfordDemo, yearling heifers have recently gone out to grass. They are avg. 380 kg having achieved 0.8 kg ADG over the 2 month housing period🐮.
They are grazing off some heavy covers while the weather allows to encourage regrowth & stock can be rehoused if necessary.
The first week of February has been a busy introduction to Spring with the arrival of our first 8 calves of 2025!🐄🐮
The recent mild frosty weather has also been ideal for the newly calved cows and their calves to get out to grass during the day🌱🌞
