There’s an interesting pattern in football: those who have previously held positions of influence often seem to understand certain truths that those currently in those roles sometimes struggle to see.
Perhaps that’s because when you’re inside the game, working within the structure, making decisions, and carrying the responsibilities that come with the job, your perspective can become restricted. You’re dealing with the pressures of the environment, the expectations of the role, and the unwritten rules that come with being part of the system.
It’s often only when people step away that they regain the freedom to look at things objectively. From the outside, you can see patterns, problems, and possibilities that are much harder to recognise when you’re immersed in the day-to-day reality.
Maybe it’s a matter of perception. When you’re in a position of authority, there is often an expectation to think in a certain way, to follow the culture, protect the institution, and align with the collective view. But once you leave that environment, those constraints disappear, and independent thought becomes easier.
It’s happened to me! 😉⚽️🙏🙇♂️
Sometimes the clearest view of football comes from those who are no longer sitting in the seat of power.
▪️If you do the same as the others, you will always be dependent on whoever has the most resources.
▪️One must change the status quo and dare to do something new, to shift the dominant paradigm.
▪️As long as nothing changes, everything will remain the same.

The most valuable asset for any institution is its Methodology. This is the core of excellence in the world's leading institutions or even heritages. The more the people involved in it get to understand it, the more value it will add both in terms of product and experience.
The methodology is the epicenter of all transactions and interactions. The meta principle of all departments within the institution and the community involved.
In these institutions all the parts involved act, interact and communicate in the same way, they share the same values and have a strong institutional identity and history.
💡 Coaches at entry level should have expertise of game understanding in elite level. Game intelligence and behavioural techniques should be the baseline 🔐
🪄What is talent?
Talent is persistent curiosity. Curiosity is persistent learning. Learning is persistent experience. Experience is persistent doing.
Assert values that will promote a culture of curiosity from a very young age 🎯
