Here at St Wulfram’s, Grantham we see a new “font” for each line, but please zoom in and check out the digital style of “year of her age” - carved in 1835 but looking like 1985 🤖

We were there for the Oxfordshire Arts Fair recently, and, as always it's a splendid site/sight. And we can recommend the nearby Ewelme pottery for truly splendid work

When I looked back across the nave at St. Mary the Virgin Ewelme, my first thought was that a hovering Gothic space ship had entered it.
Suspended above the font is a cover of 1475 that was meant to stop others from stealing the holy water for devilish use. #thread

Overton’s Restaurant & Oyster Saloons - a favourite of Ian Fleming. There were two branches. This one was opposite Victoria Station. They started up in 1872.

My father lived on Dalling Rd from his birth in 1923 until early in WW2 when the family moved to Westcroft Square. Their part of the street was destroyed in a bombing raid, possibly by a mine
