I LOVE navigating with @TopoMaps and my Apple Watch Ultra. We navigated down this rock shoot from Chikamin Ridge. I was constantly checking my watch while holding onto rocks to know when to turn so that we did drop too low in the shoot.
@staninprague@TopoMaps Before I started working on the update, I thought the same thing. For me, I found that it just feels like the map is so much bigger than the iOS 18 version, even though it isn't that much bigger in reality. When I use the iOS18 version it feels cramped.
I am still working on the @TopoMaps iOS 26 design. First impression is that it really nice to use liquid glass on a map. The pic doesn't do it justice. This just "feels" so nice on my iPhone. (Got a TON of work to get the whole app updated.)
The 3D maps in @TopoMaps are different from most other 3D maps. The interaction is optimized for exploring possible routes in the mountains. You can see what you are looking at on the main map.
🤯 today in a @Waymo. It was unbelievable. It was the first time I didn't feel sick or stressed in a "cab" in a big city. Seriously it was incredibly smooth and not stressful.
