@AJWTheology It was paradigm-shifting for me when I first read it about 23 years ago. It was in my mind last Sunday night as I talked for 4 hours with a visitor to my church who is Unitarian in his beliefs (and knows all the lingo and the arguments, but doesn’t know the Bible well). Thankful.
@SwipeWright at the Bible, but I don’t think science should “prove” e.g. that Jesus rose from the dead; demanding that of God is a profoundly flawed approach to dealing with God (and science). Least important, I have a PhD in biblical Hebrew linguistics (but am not a career academic). /end
@SwipeWright FYIs: I’m not a “reframe Bible miracles as natural events” guy. I think the flood happened - because I believe the Bible, not because of science. I think much external evidence supports the Bible’s reliability, & there are good answers to most (not all) questions aimed … 5/6
@MrPunyapal A DTO is the converse: it’s a *collection* of different items which need to be transferred between different parts of the system. The DTO doesn’t need to understand them - its job is to ensure the shape of the collection (types/existence) so the right things are passed around
@MrPunyapal In a way, they’re opposites - and the thing people often miss IMO is that a VO is an object that represents a *single value* in the business domain (an Address, etc.). Its whole point is being a “smart” representation of one thing, which is why it’s part of the domain.
@jeffrey_way Nah, you nailed it 👏
Next challenge: knowing when to say “Povilas, Gio, and I” versus “Povilas, Gio, and me” 😜
(PS: Love the photo of 3 people from all of whom I’ve learned a ton! Legends.)
@Galantkoh@TyndaleBulletin I had the same questions after reading the paper. I was hoping the conclusion would clear it up, but no. If anything, the tepidarium might be a refuge from the ostentation and immorality of the other spaces? Anyway, I also don’t see how the “hot” and “cold” spaces are positive.

@AJWTheology diagnosis. Where his diagnosis is right, we need a huge slap in the face. But where it’s not … I am fearful of the impact on young pastors who are putting their lives out for Christ, burdened for the last, and whose churches don’t grow. Sometimes, it’s not about the numbers.
