The @Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz has been named the American League Player of the Month for May. This is the fourth career monthly award for Kurtz after he won Rookie of the Month in June, 2025 and Player and Rookie of the Month in July of 2025.
The @Athletics selected RHP Kade Morris and recalled RHP Mason Barnett from @AviatorsLV, the club announced. RHP Michael Kelly and LHP Jacob Lopez have been optioned to LV. To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Brooks Kriske was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
The @SanJoseSharks General Manager Mike Grier announced today that the club has signed defenseman Phillip Sinn to a two-year entry-level contract.
