A) The ghost cities were not government funded. B) The real estate market in China has plummeted by somewhere around 70% C) Many of these ghost cities have been demolished, or are sitting unfinished. D) The largest real estate/construction companies in China have collapsed and defaulted on their debt. This has been a catastrophe for China, and apparently you want to bring this to the USA?
Palestinians are Muslims. Their holy book requires them to hate and kill Jews. They've been hating and killing Jews for 14 centuries. This didn't start in 1948, it continued in 1948. Israel was just one more excuse to "Kill the Jews." Congratulations, you've got it 180 degrees wrong.
The police in the USA are not allowed to randomly confront people and demand that they "show their papers." I have no idea what this vignette is about, but I've seen plenty where some Karen calls the police and says "Oh, there's someone sitting in a car on my street and it's suspicious." Instead of asking more questions, the police come out and demand identification from the person, notwithstanding that absolutely no crime has been committed, or --and this is the important part-- no crime has even been alleged. This is the sort of situation where the person will then ask, "Officer, what crime are you investigating?" That's an extremely important question and it needs to be asked under those circumstances. If we, as a people, do not assert our rights, we will lose our rights.
This is not going to change Georgia's mind, because she has no hope of understanding anything he said. He might as well have been speaking Ancient Greek. But does anybody think that Georgia ever listened to Elon Musk speak, or read anything he wrote, before publicly asserting that he's an "astronomical idiot"? She simply has heard this talking point and is repeating it.
Only problem is, they're not socialist. "High tax" and socialist are not synonyms. But let's look at them, just for kicks. The populations of Norway, Denmark and Finland are all under 8 million currently, that's smaller than New York City. In 1965 they were all under 5 million. They were 99.9% white, incredibly homogeneous. They were all extremely high trust societies, no need for locks on doors. Do you want to live there? I'd love to visit but when you are forced to pay a high tax rate you have extremely limited choices about how you live your life. You essentially have zero disposable income. How much innovation comes out of those Nordic countries? Very little because there is no incentive to risk your economic livelihood if the tax man is going to help himself to the money you'll make if your risk pays off. Also, all European countries have received a free ride on national defense from Uncle Sam. A far better example of "socialism" would be England, which went hard socialist after the war. Have you driven any exciting, reliable, new English automobiles recently? They used to make them. Japan's industrial base didn't exist in August of 1945 but their market-based automobile companies have outperformed England's by orders of magnitude. Finally, what is going on in the Nordic countries now that they've been introduced the wonders of "diversity," with all of that diversity coming from non-white, low trust societies. Their welfare state is unsustainable now.
That's one of the more insane statements I've seen on X. Have you checked with the Venezuelans about that? I had someone try to tell me once that Cubans preferred the Castro tyranny to the Batista government. Batista was no prize, but that had nothing to do with the free market Cuban economy that was flourishing. But only under Castro's regime were Cubans lashing inner tubes together to try to escape by floating across 60 miles of shark infested water. And there will always be people of low character who prefer to sit back and exist on welfare. A large welfare state, though, isn't a good thing it's a cancer growing in your country.
You are very protective of the dictators who were running those places, aren't you? Capitalism is a voluntary system. Socialism is compulsory. Look at NYC and Seattle. They force confiscatory tax policies on businesses and the wealthy, and they all leave. What is the next step for our intrepid DSA fanatics? What they're going to try to do is go full totalitarian and force people to stay and pay. I don't think they'll be successful because we still have the US Constitution, but they will try. Walls around socialist countries weren't to keep people out, they were to force them to stay in. You can keep your totalitarian States, I'll stick with our system.
I think you've got it backwards, Mr. Helper. Where's your spot on the map where socialism created a "better world"? I didn't point to one because that spot doesn't exist. But I could point to dozens and dozens of places where socialism created hell on earth.
@Luv2Fly04@KurtSchlichter I don't think he could have started the 14 years as a Second Lieutenant. Maybe prior enlisted service and then went to Officer Candidate School? Otherwise he would have been passed over for Captain at three years and Major around 7-8 years, he would not have been retained.
@FullDozer@michaelmezz I just took a look at his profile to see if this was one of those sarcastic fake accounts trying to provoke people. Nope. He's dead serious. And a real moron.
There are umpteen Supreme Court cases narrowing the "fighting words" doctrine to a point where it's hard to imagine what you would have to say to run afoul of it. Using the N word is not one of those very narrow exceptions. It's not even close. The judge hearing the case is Christa M. Daily. According to a press report she chastised the defense attorney for claiming that someone--I wonder who--was "dumber than a law student." I think that accurately sums up this judge's legal acumen.
@KurtSchlichter If they magically got today every "common sense" gun law they ever dreamed of, they'd be back tomorrow with a new list of demands. From my cold, dead hands.
Another example of why the old style Mafia families took hold in places like New York. When the police, the courts and the mayor's office don't care to enforce the law, for whatever reason, the "families" were a back up. Imagine if the bakery owner was able to button hole a real life Tony Soprano about this problem. A few broken legs later there would be no theft from this bakery. And for the females out there who want to whine that "violence never solved anything," you're desperately wrong and you're the ones who caused this situation. Violence does solve problems, and it's the only thing that the scumbags in the video will respond to.
@TheBabylonBee She is well aware that if she ever sat at a board meeting and questioned or pushed back on whether "politeness" or "objectivity" were defining aspects of White supremacy, she'd be out of her $370,000 job by the end of the week.
