Special night tonight celebrating Coach Koetting’s induction into the Texas High School Hall of Fame, and the impact he has had.
His two sons, Jack and Bill, did such a great job representing his career and his impact.
I am so thankful that God chose to intersect my life with Coach Koetting’s in Canadian, Texas. I got to experience some of my greatest professional memories because of his leadership.
But where his impact on me is the deepest is as a friend.
Chris Koetting is one of the greatest friends I have had in my life.
Congratulations Koetting, I love you.

NBA Superstar Scottie Barnes defends Shai Gilgeous-Alexander amidst ongoing foul-baiting backlash, reminding fans that when you’re that good, people will always find something to complain about.
Asked Chet Holmgren about the Thunder fans in attendance today:
"They're amazing. I say it all the time. We wouldn't be here without them, so we try our best to reciprocate that love and show them that love every single night. The effort that they put in to come to games, they worked hard to be able to afford to come to games. They're spending their hard-earned money to come to games, so we have to go out there with that understanding and give them our all, play as hard as we can. You're never guaranteed wins in the NBA. But when you have a fan base that backs you like that, shows up to the games and gets as loud as they were tonight, you've got to do everything you can to pay them back with a win."
Jalen Williams was asked by @JenniCarlson_OK about Mark Daigneault’s impact:
“I think as a coach people probably don’t realize that he’s getting better. It’s hard from a fan perspective to really see a coach get better. But when we’re in there every day game planning and going through our daily stuff, it’s one of those things where you can see he’s just as committed to winning as we are. And he’s a basketball mind, so I think that makes everybody on the team respect him. And he’s cool to be around, so when you add all of that up, he’s pretty cool. He’s alright. It’s just his commitment to trying to win and trying to get better every game. Even the game plan from the last two games where we don’t have anybody really playing because we’d already clinched, for him to go through the game plan as detailed as he did for those guys to go out there and have them best prepared speaks a lot to him and the staff.”
Last night was one of if not most significant nights of my life. Getting to play the home town stadium was already a fever dream but having one of the many heros that were there last night present an award to me was not on my bingo card. Thank you @departed_musici@OklaMusicHall for choosing me for the rising star award. It is one of the greatest honors in my life. My heart is full of emotions for what has happened in the last 24 hours. I will always be proud to be an Oklahoman and a red dirt artist. Thank you all for believing in my music and me. I love y’all so much!
IHart tells a funny story about visiting The Memorial for the 1st time after Presti told him they were going to a museum
“I was like, can I just sign my contract please” 😂😂
me: these are headphones. they go over your ears so you can privately listen to music or podcasts
time-traveling pilgrim: so then why do people play stuff loudly off their phone in public spaces?
me: okay, you're actually picking up on things way faster than I thought
"This all started because they love each other, they love being there to support each other, to hype each other up and I just happen to be kind of the wallpaper there that they get to scribble on at the end of each game" - @NickAGallo on the infamous postgame interviews
Been at ESPN a long time - this one was an all timer. Before social media, it was as viral as a story can be. I watched it on a tape in the news room. I couldn’t stop watching his teammates.
Back when I was in Congress, if then President Obama had uttered even just one of these sentences below, we Republicans would’ve screamed, impeachment proceedings would’ve begun, Republican voters would be out protesting with their “don’t tread on me” flags, Fox News would declare a national emergency, and Sean Hannity would’ve gotten so worked up he would’ve had a heart attack on air.👇

Chet Holmgren on his annual Thanksgiving community event: “Foster families are very important — especially for kids who aren’t given the quote-unquote normal upbringing. Anybody who’s willing to bring a child that isn’t theirs into their home and look after them is somebody with a very big heart. I just want to do something special for them.”
Also revealed he donates tickets every game to a foster family: “So we can share Thunder basketball with them.”
