@ClementB13279 When I start writing it’s only an idea of what will happen at the end. The more I write, the better I know a character. Therefore, there are times when the planned ending doesn’t make sense for the character. Also, I’m a pantzer, and let the story naturally progress.
My wife (first reader) is reading my new novel and asked a question that we both know I can’t answer. Is she going to like the ending? Of course, this is her way of asking if it’s a happy ending or not.
What kind of ending do you prefer?

Have you ever realized one of your bad habits, then looked back at your old work to see how long you’ve looked like an idiot?

I’m reading a story I put aside 2 years ago and loving the unlikable MC. Definitely more fun to write. What are your thoughts on unlikable main characters?

My struggles with self-esteem and rejection while querying literary agents. Plus, a mistake I recently made. This week on the blog.

I just finished the final editing session for the House that wasn’t There. Now comes the business of turning it into a novel.

Who would have guessed that a book doesn’t promote itself. A year after self-publishing Reel Ghosts, I’m finally trying to market my book. Better late than never.

I listened to an audiobook today that had an AI voice. It was eerily human. Honestly, it did a better job than several human narrators I’ve heard.
Has anyone else experienced this?
