Need to move money out of Kraken soon? Check the withdrawal hold before funding.
Kraken says ACH Plaid purchases have a 7-day withdrawal hold on an equivalent amount in cash or crypto. Trading can still work during that time.
In the withdrawal screen, open the tooltip to see your available balance and holds. Don't plan a time-sensitive payment around the headline balance.

@thefrogmaxi If the phone’s dead, ask the shop whether they can process the refund using your receipt. Apple says that’s generally possible, though requirements vary by merchant.
Returning something you paid for with Apple Pay? The card digits the shop asks for may be different from the ones on your physical card.
On iPhone: Wallet → the card used → More (…) → Card Number. Apple says this shows the last four digits of the Apple Pay card number.
Bring the device you paid with if the shop needs you to tap for the refund. Your receipt may be enough, but merchant policies vary.
Apple's guide: https://t.co/9kOnEPwP9x
@thefrogmaxi If you already paid with Apple Pay, the shop may need the Apple Pay card number or the device used for that purchase to process the refund.
Replacing a Capital One card? Check the subscriptions tied to it.
Some merchants update your card details automatically; others need the new number. Review recurring payments so an essential bill doesn't fail.
For a subscription you want to end, cancel with the provider and keep the confirmation. Even blocking its card charge doesn't cancel the subscription.

Keeping money in Wise for a later payment? Your card can dip into another currency balance when the spending currency runs short.
Smart Conversion chooses the currency with the lowest conversion fee. You can't set a preferred funding currency.
To keep a particular amount out of card spending, move it into a Jar. Wise says Jar money can't be spent with its debit card. Move it back when you need it.

Taking Tello to Europe? Check the dates before buying a separate travel eSIM. Its current promotion lets roaming calls, texts and data use your active monthly plan allowance in listed destinations through January 31, 2027. The UK, Switzerland and Turkey are included, so check the actual list rather than assuming EU-only coverage.
Enable International Roaming in your Tello account. No PAYG credit is needed while you are within the included allowance, but extra usage draws from PAYG if available. Tello also lists a 50 GB high-speed roaming limit. After the promotion ends, European roaming returns to PAYG billing.
New customers: Tello says to fully activate the SIM/eSIM while physically in the US before traveling. Factor that into your plans before ordering from abroad.

Keeping an Ultra Mobile PayGo number as a backup? Set your reminder by its renewal date: the plan runs on 30-day cycles, so the date can shift each month.
The same PayGo wallet pays for renewal and international voice/SMS/MMS roaming. Leave room for usage instead of budgeting the balance only for $3 renewals.
Check the balance and expiration date in your account, or text BAL to 6700.

Saved a Kraken deposit address in another exchange's address book? Check it again before reusing it.
Kraken says generating more than five deposit addresses for the same coin sets the oldest one to expire in seven days. An expired address may mean permanently lost funds.
Open Deposit → choose the coin → Manage deposit addresses, and check for an expiry warning before sending.

Holding USDC on Noble? Circle has published a wind-down timeline worth checking before your next transfer.
New minting through Circle Mint stops October 13, 2026. CCTP V1 burn limits start shrinking October 31. Circle says the Noble USDC contract and CCTP routes will be fully paused on January 12, 2027.
If you're considering an exchange as an exit route, confirm it currently accepts USDC deposits on Noble specifically. A USDC deposit option on another network won't do.

Receiving USD into Wise from a bank outside the US? Check the recipient address field before the sender submits the wire.
Wise says it must reject SWIFT payments that don't include your address. The bank's address is a separate detail, so don't assume filling that field is enough.
Use the international USD details shown in your account, including the SWIFT/BIC, and make sure the sender also includes your address.

Moving your bank-code number to a new iPhone before a trip? Keep the old phone available until the transfer is finished.
Apple's eSIM Quick Transfer needs carrier support, both iPhones nearby with Bluetooth on, and the old iPhone unlocked. Once the new plan activates, the previous SIM is deactivated.
Before wiping the old phone, test calls and the bank texts you rely on using the new one. Don't count on the old SIM as a backup after transfer.

An overseas ATM asks for 4 digits, but your HSBC HK ATM or debit card has a 6-digit PIN? Don't shorten it or try 0000. HSBC says neither will work.
Try another ATM, or an HSBC ATM where available. Before travelling, also set your overseas ATM withdrawal limit so you aren't troubleshooting that at the cash machine.

Wise shows 'Transfer Sent', but the recipient sees nothing? Their bank may still be processing it. Wise says that stage can take a few working days, depending on the currency.
Before sending the money again, give the recipient the transfer receipt PDF. It contains the payment details their bank can use to trace it.
A status screenshot leaves out useful information. Send the receipt privately to the recipient so they can contact their bank.

Revolut single-use card declined for an online subscription? Generating another number won't fix that mismatch.
Revolut's UK help says these cards don't support subscriptions or hotel/car-rental deposits. They may also be declined if Revolut expects another charge from the merchant.
Check the card type before retrying. Single-use is designed for one-time online purchases. Refunds can still reach your account after that card number expires.

A Revolut card payment marked 'reverted' can still show up later as a successful charge if the merchant retries it. Check the status of both entries before treating them as a double charge.
Revolut's UK help page also warns that offline payments can cause genuine duplicates. For an unrecognised or incorrect charge, open that payment in the app and select 'Get help'.

Relying on Google Voice for bank codes while abroad? Test each bank before your trip.
Google says some banks and subscription services won't send texts to Voice numbers; you may need a mobile carrier number. A working chat with a friend doesn't confirm bank-code delivery.
If a code is missing, check Voice's Spam folder too.
