But your false prophet lied to you and the religion he supposedly formed. Your religion didn't start till the 7th century and still keeps it's people bound to that time period. Roman Catholicism is a man made religion just like Islam and and used governmental control over the people. They claim to be Christian but are far from the real Jesus of the Bible with their practices of idolatry. Real Christianity is not controlled by religion or government and it was Protestants who broke from Catholicism gave us the ability to have a Bible to know who God truly is. Truly knowing God a person will not murder or steal and destroy peoples lives. Because of this it was easy for Islam to take Christian lands and cities.
