Latter end of the 2nd half was a bit flat from USA and I think they'll have some things to think about likely when going up against the fringe-A class of teams, but this has been a really well played two group matches from them - this WC imo. As the holders, US could be an issue
Maybe I'm a bit harsh but seriously, there's about two minutes left on the clock in the game, just give him a few seconds rest/get on with it ffs. Football comes across as intentionally annoying at times, certainly isn't a good view at times.
I can’t lie in saying as a true football ‘casual’, I’ve really enjoyed most of the action in this World Cup to this point. If only the VAR/hydration breaks weren’t so frequent, they are the only weak spots really imo. If only incompetence (corruption??) weren’t a thing in sports.
Quite intrigued by this fight honestly, maybe too optimistically. With what I think Itauma is capable of, this could well be another three-round blowout, but Hrgovic has the size & possesses the tools to push Itauma potentially to his toughest fight so far imo.
For how dull a first half was, that was a pretty good second half performance from England, especially considering a total of six goals in that game. It really didn't feel as action packed as scoreline suggests for me, but we got the job done in good fashion ultimately.
The hydration breaks are just more unnecessarily accommodating, safe rules from FIFA as far as I'm concerned. I could understand in extreme heat, but I heard it's 21 degrees there? I mean we've had that weather quite frequently in the UK alone this year. Total bs imo
We looked shockingly flat in that first 45, but second half has been much better. Bellingham in particular with his goal has been excellent. Feels like he could be one of the different makers for us, if there is, in the deep end of this tournament when it will really be vital
I want to be enthusiastic, but this England side looks like it's got significantly worse so far. Croatia clearly outplaying us all over the field. Our players just don't look passionate. Fairly depressed already about our chances tbh. Always the way
What should’ve been: AJ v. Fury late 2026, at a packed out Wembley, buzzing atmosphere, we get closure on this ‘saga’
Most likely: AJ v. Fury live on flix, dead Vegas venue, subpar atmosphere, waffling clowns Ranallo & Haye on commentary
Another ball drop from the Fury camp here as far as I'm concerned. They are the ones who have basically initiated and played along with this situation. Hearn/AJ's side are absolutely right, this has to be a UK fight, or both should move on. Only in boxing man.
That requirement was in the contract for a reason. This fight loses a lot of allure, objectively, if it's in the U.S. To be frank, I'm not even sure what the point is of making this in another territory with two British guys who are big sporting, never mind boxing draws here 🤷♂️
It now looks like Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua is heading to the US but that will need contracts to be renegotiated so it is not a done deal yet. As reported last week, Joshua's contract states UK venue. Explainer for @TheAthletic

@AP_1518 Idk if I’d call it fear, but there’s definitely always been some hesitation there for Fury in relation to this fight imo. I think the driving factor that caused all this maturation in the first place may honestly be jealousy from Fury. He’s not as big a star as AJ imo, globally.
be making hard work of what really doesn’t need to be that. The fight either happens this year or shouldn’t at all. That’s my simple, final verdict from my standpoint.
What excuses will there be this time I wonder if AJ fight - all things considered, worth talking about now, doesn’t end up happening, & Tyson goes after another lifeless Sefer Seferi-like body. The milking of this fight is just ridiculous atp.
UK soil, but making this in the U.S and a region where both aren’t nearly as recognisable & on paper, makes no sense to do it in that market, just ruins any allure this fight had for me honestly. I will say again though, Fury’s team are the ones who from the outside, seem to-
