@jk_rowling@suzanne_moore Unfortunately, what counts as the Left today left materialism behind a long time ago. That’s why Habermas called Foucault and other postmodernists “young conservatives”.

Je profite des programmes de formation professionnelle proposés ce week-end par l'Association québécoise des avocats et avocates en droit de l'immigration (AQAADI).
When Charlie would address this, he’d always say, “my wife is baptized Catholic.” Not “my wife is Catholic.” If your wife is practicing Catholic, you just say, “she’s Catholic.”
Additionally, at the memorial, Erika Kirk urged us to find a “Bible-believing church.” This is a term evangelicals say. A Catholic says, “go to Mass,” “go to confession,” “talk to a priest,” etc.
Additionally, her Bible in 365 program is run between her and a Calvary church pastor (James Kaddis). The notes in the included commentary are anti-Catholic doctrine and also very much against replacement theology.
I’ve heard it said that Charlie and his family would sometimes go to Mass (although I’ve never seen evidence save for one photo that looks like it was him alone in a pew maybe shot from far away and behind by someone who didn’t know him but recognized him). I also sometimes go to Mass as someone who was baptized Catholic but is no longer in that particular sect. It’s not unusual and doesn’t mean I’m becoming Catholic again.
I’m just going based off what everyone has said—including Charlie while alive. The onus is on others to prove he was becoming Catholic or that Erika is still devoutly Catholic as opposed to baptized as a child.
Also, Charlie wouldn’t want us to fight over this. Maybe we’ll get answers in the interview next week
