there's actually good reason things like elected official compensation commissions (& subway/bus fare increases) get set up on required schedules. (sort of like how the state decided to peg the minimum wage to inflation & other such mechanisms that can make sense/remove politics)

People should not underestimate the degree to which Ramos dislikes/resents/is wary of Mamdani (as we’ve seen through various comments this campaign, including first TV debate) & this coming right after AOC (whom Ramos also has issues with) endorsed him & left Ramos off her slate.
