Protecting liberal democracy means defending it against its three greatest historic enemies:
Socialism (the red wave),
Islamism (the green wave), and
Naziism (the black wave).
It’s just that simple.
Greece is blocking the EU’s 21st sanctions package against Russia to protect a single shipping company.
At issue is a proposed ban on transporting Russian LNG to third countries. Greece’s ambassador to the EU warned fellow envoys that the measure would “destroy” Dynagas, the fleet owned by Greek oligarch George Prokopiou – and cited that as the reason Athens cannot support the package.
Dynagas operates 27 gas carriers. About a third are Arc7 ice-class tankers, specially built to serve Russia’s Yamal LNG plant in Arctic waters.
Since the start of 2025, Dynagas has moved over 10 million tons of Russian LNG across 11 vessels, completing 144 voyages. Separately, Prokopiou’s oil-tanker business, Dynacom, has earned at least $915 million from trading Russian crude over the past three years – more than any other Greek shipowner.
Because the package requires unanimity, Greece’s objection alone has stalled it for a week, also freezing planned sanctions on Russian banks, crypto networks, and defense firms, and forcing an emergency extension of the Russian oil price cap.

A concerning development: According to Levada, in mid-2025 respondents aged 18–24 (a group that had previously been the most opposition-minded) were more likely than any older age cohort to identify Putin as one of the greatest figures in history. This is a remarkable reversal of earlier trends; Looks like targeted state-led indoctrination among Russian youth is starting to deliver: https://t.co/DQrJYVGRNi
🇺🇸🇸🇦On Friday, President Trump spoke by phone with the Saudi crown prince, per a U.S. official. MBS asked Trump for his backing for a military action against the Houthis and received it, the U.S. official told me
The largest, deadliest, and longest war in Europe since World War II is unfolding right now. Yet you wouldn’t know it from many European peace organizations. Instead of speaking out against the crimes against humanity that Russia is committing in Ukraine, these so-called “peace movements” are preoccupied with criticizing Europe’s rearmament—the direct consequence of Russian aggression.
It is a monumental betrayal of the Ukrainian people, and I hope those involved in these organizations carry the weight of that betrayal with them for the rest of their lives.
